Starting a Learning Binder

Recently, I have found myself with a mountain of binders, journaling, and notebooks, including notebooks for my webcomics, books that I am working on, my python learning, and a Japanese Language notebook, just to name a few. Since my bookshelves are filling up, I want to consolidate some space, so I have decided to turn to a designated Learning Binder.

A Learning Binder, like a learning notebook, is a collection of knowledge. I plan to place smaller chunks of information in my Learning Binder to preserve notebooks for more specific and larger topics.

Like many things, a Learning Binder may also go by a few names, such as Learning journal, Book of Knowledge, and a Common Place Notebook. Regardless of the title, they all serve a similar goal: collecting and storing information for future reference.

My goal is to one day pass my collection onto my children and grandchildren so that they, too, can better prepare for what life has to offer.

What I Use

Binder

I currently use a 3" binder that I got from amazon.

Tabbed Dividers

I use tabbed dividers to separate my pages.

Paper Protectors

I use paper protectors for pages that aren't whole punched.

5 Star Grid Paper

This is my usual go-to paper when it comes to note-taking.

Copy Paper

I use blank copy paper when I need a clean slate to work off of. When the grids from the 5 Star paper may become a bit much.

Magnetic Book Marks

I fell in love with these bookmarks a while ago. I love using them to keep my place in notebooks, journals, books, and, yes, binders.

Tul Pens

I truly enjoy Tul Protects. I own a number of their notebooks. However, their pens have to be one of my favorite products of which they produce.

Mildliners

For my highlighting needs, I use Mildliners. I switched to these because I like soft colors and their dual tips.

Stickers

I love stickers. Currently, I have a nice collection of happy planner stickers.
